What I’m Reading

Brief History of Montmaray by Michelle Cooper.  A great read, especially for an overcast day, full of fun quirky characters. Sophie FitzOsborne is the last of a royal family on a run-down isle, everyone else having decamped to England long ago. Together with her bookish cousin, tomboy little sister, and crazy uncle, Sophie patches together a crumbling life. Cooper does a wonderful job describing the characters, the ruins, and the sea around the island. I want to move to Montmaray.
